  • First off… congrats on taking the leap!

    Warm slow flow is a great entry point. That being said, our instructors are experienced + can provide modifications in ALL classes.

    Let your instructor know it’s your first class—we’re happy to support you.

  • A yoga mat, water, a towel.

    (We have mat rentals, items to purchase + hand towels available.) Also … all walkers/bikers get free mat rentals!)

  • Most classes are heated with infrared panels.

    Heat levels vary by class; heat temps are listed in the class description (range: 75-97 degrees.)

    Yin is non-heated.

    You’re welcome to step out, rest, or modify at any time.

  • Infrared heat feels similar to the heat of the sun’s rays. We have radiant panels on the ceiling that heat people + objects directly. This direct warms boosts flexibility, promotes detoxification through sweat, + warms muscles and joints from the inside out. Benefits? Improved circulation + deeper stretches!

    Still, please consult your doctor if you are pregnant, have heart conditions or are sensitive to the heat.

  • Wear breathable clothing you can move and sweat in. Bare feet are standard in the studio.

  • Please sign up ahead of time so the instructor knows you are coming. That way she can keep the door open for you. Stuck behind the bridge? it happens. we will keep the door open a bit longer than 5 min so you can hop into class.

    If you are dropping in - please come at least 5 minutes before class so we can get you situated.

  • Some instructors will offer hand-on assists.

    Hands-on assists are opt-in only. Use our clips to opt in to hands on assists.

    Clips on your mat = welcomed adjustments!

  • Yes we offer pricing options for those needing support. Please email or come see us for more information.

  • 10-15 minutes before class time, especially if it’s your first visit.

  • No.

  • Keep phones out of the studio. (if you are on call… have a health condition… etc. — we understand, just inform your instructor please)

  • 16+ — Minors require a signed waiver by a parent/guardian.

  • We have 4 spots directly out front with signs that specify “Aware House Parking.”

    There is street parking on the island. Plug in 25 badger’s island west, nearby the weeping willow tree is perfect.

    There is the Wright Avenue Lot a 5 min walk across the Memorial Bridge.

    Bike/moped parking is directly under our stairs.
